As the World Turns Weekly Recap: Week ending May 04, 2007

Cleo stays in Oakdale. While returning the clothes she took from Gwen, Cleo transforms herself into Gwen. Cleo’s “Gwen” is put to the test with Barbara arrives, luckily Barbara is convinced it is Gwen. However, as Cleo, still dressed as Gwen, is leaving Will returns home. It takes Will about a half a second to realize Cleo is not his wife. Cleo denies knowing Jade, claiming she is a fan of Gwen’s. Cleo gives Will a sob story that she was an aspiring singer, but after hearing Gwen sing, Cleo knew she would never be a singer, and she just wanted Gwen to know how much Gwen’s singing affected her. Will lets Cleo go, but not before he warns her that if she comes near Gwen again, he will have her thrown in jail. Will tells Gwen about Cleo. Alone at home, Gwen opens the door to find Cleo with flowers. Once Gwen realizes who Cleo is, she calls Jack, however, in the process Cleo faints. Once Cleo wakes Gwen decides they should have a chat. Cleo swears she doesn’t know a Jade or Adam. She claims that she was on her way to Chicago, when they passed through Oakdale and she saw a flyer Gwen singing at Crash. Cleo admits that she thought if she was more like Gwen, then maybe she wouldn’t be so much of a loser. Gwen tells Cleo she makes her uncomfortable. Cleo leaves after promising to keep her distance from Gwen. Will comes home as Cleo is leaving. Gwen informs Will of Cleo’s promise.

Katie dreams about kissing Jack. Brad puts his 2 cents in on Katie getting involved with Jack, he believes Jack will never be over Carly. Katie is affected by Brad’s words. Brad leads Jack to believe that something happened between Katie and Brad. Katie confronts Jack about why there is a problem between the two of them. Jack breaks it to her that he doesn’t think they are right for each other. Jack is clearly upset after hurting Katie. Brad consoles Katie. Brad and Katie find out the name and town of the Oakdale now contest winner. Brad’s reaction reveals that he has been to the town, and is not thrilled to be going back. The duo head to the town. Later at the station Kim gets a phone call from a woman who tells Kim to keep Brad away from the town or he is a dead man. Kim convinces Jack to go warn Brad, however Brad of course does not take the threat seriously. Brad takes a jab at Jack, by claiming that Brad’s relationship with Katie has caused Brad to turn over a new leaf. Alone Katie insists to Jack that they need to talk about the two of them.

On Casey’s last night of freedom, Maddie find out she was accepted to Wesleyan. Maddie decides is she is not going so she can be in Oakdale when Casey gets out of prison. Casey urges her to go, insisting he doesn’t want to make a mess of her life too. The two end up arguing and Maddie leaves upset. Maddie confides in Vienna, who convinces Maddie that not only is Casey acting out of love, but that Maddie should not give her dreams because her dreams are what make her the girl Casey loves. Casey says a tearful goodbye to Gwen and Will. Casey gives a heartfelt speech to his parent about how much they mean to him. Maddie shows up just as Casey is leaving. The couple express their love for each other. A crying Maddie watches Casey leave. Henry overhears Vienna giving advice to Maddie, the moment has an affect on Henry.

Emily almost catches Allison doing drugs, then grows suspicious of Allison’s extremely moody behavior. A talk with Lucinda peak’s Allison’s interest in the Paul/Lucinda plan. Lucinda arranges for Allison to meet her and Paul at the Lakeview. The temptation of money and the chance to get revenge on Craig, win Allison over, she agrees to help Paul and Lucinda with their plan. Allison makes her first call to Craig saying, “Craig. I know Craig, I know everything.” Allison uses her newfound money to buy drugs. Paul has Allison make a second call to Craig saying “I know you tried to kill me Craig”, then Paul breaks a vase before Allison hangs up. Emily runs into Paul and Allison coming out of the elevator together at the Lakeview. Paul and Meg argue about her involvement in the revenge plot against Craig. Paul fills Meg in on his plan to use Allison to convince Craig that Rosanna is out of her coma. Meg persuades Paul to agree to let her become Craig’s confidant, in order to help Paul’s plan succeed. Later Meg in a slinky black dress fools Craig into believing that she wants him, but she doesn’t want to want him. The duo make plans to have a drink, but after Allison’s phone call Craig come sup with an excuse to cancel. Later Craig stares at a picture of Rosanna. Meg shares the news with Paul and Lucinda. Craig calls Rosanna’s hospital and is told by the doctor that Rosanna has disappeared. Lucinda reveals to Paul and Meg that the doctor told Craig, exactly what he was told to. Craig hires an investigator to find Rosanna. Craig is called away from a board meeting to take Allison’s second call. A shaken Craig has to cancel the board meeting, much to Lucinda’s delight. At Fairwinds, Craig finds a broken picture of Rosanna, leading him to further believe that Rosanna is out of her coma. Dusty ruins into Allison and concludes she is still using. Emily wonders where Allison is getting the money to buy drugs. Cheri tries unsuccessfully to persuade Emily to come back to hooking. Emily finally opens up to Dusty about how and why she got into hooking. Emily admits seeing Allison in the video saved her, that is why she has to save Allison.

Jack finds a book that Carly gave Parker in the trash. Jack questions Parker who claims he is too old for it. After Jack leaves Parker throws the book away as Faith watches. Later Parker finds the book in his backpack. He realizes Faith put it there, but doesn’t say anything. He puts the book back in his backpack.
