Q. What is a FAQ? And what does it stand for?
A.  FAQ is an abbreviation (acronym) and stands for frequently asked questions. The FAQ is here to help you find the answers to questions that are commonly asked about the Soap Operas area.

Q. How do I advertise on this site?
A. I occasionally get asked this question so I have prepared a resource for learning about the various advertising options for the About.com network. There are a range of options designed to meet a variety of needs and for any budget. For more information click here.

Q. I've been to your site, but where are the soap opera news and spoilers I hear about?
A.
You've probably heard about Soap Suds Daily my daily update page. There you'll find daily spoilers, updates, casting news, weekly hotlinks, and everything else soaps.

Q. I've heard that you have quite a large listing of soap opera links. I only see 30 categories on your front page where are the rest?
A.
You can find the complete listing of categories in our link library or by clicking on the "more links" under the category listings on the front page.

Q. Do you have a newsletter that I can get through my email?
A. Yes, I send out a weekly newsletter that has some soap opera information in it as well as updates on the site. You can see some past issues of the newsletter in the archives, or just sign up.

Q. I have a Web page will you link to it?
A. Please feel free to submit your site. Please
know that I will most likely list a site that has content over a site that is strictly links. I will then visit your site and assess how it fits in to the various categories I currently have on the site. There are times when I know I'll use a site in the future and file it away, so it can take many weeks for your site to show up...or it can take hours.
***If you are suggesting a Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, All My Children, or One Life to Live link, please click on the show title to assure that the suggestions go to the appropriate site.

Q. Do you have pictures of current or previous stars?
A. I do not. Many of the sites listed have extensive galleries, and most are notated in their annotations.

Q. Can you get me on any of the shows or backstage during taping?
A. No. I am not affiliated with any of the shows in any way. Sorry :-(

Q. Can you get me an audition? Can you give me audition schedules?
A. No, occasionally I will post on Soap Suds Daily about upcoming casting on specific shows, or open casting call information I receive, but I do not have the information that your agent or manager would have for you.

Q. Is Soap Operas at About.com associated with any of the networks or shows?
A. No, Soap Operas is privately run and is not associated with any of the networks or shows.

Q. I wrote to you, why didn't I receive an answer?
A.
Chances are you have an AOL/Web TV address. If the former, someone in your family may have blocked it. If the latter, Web TV blocks About.com emails.  Is your return email address valid? Many times I've attempted to reply to someone, only to have it bounce back to me with an "unknown recipient" message. Otherwise, I apologize. Please write again. Your original note may have been lost in the email.

Q. Could you tell me a cast member's phone number, home address, email address?
A.
Many stars have created their own web sites that provide you with addresses for you to contact them with. If they have a personal email address and it is publicly available and it is ok to post it, I have it listed on the contact pages (see above). Mailing addresses and phone numbers are kept confidential and will not be given out.

Q. I want to write to my favorite show and/or my favorite star, what is their address?
A.
If you would like to write to the show or stars of the various shows you'll most likely find the addresses listed on our daytime contact or primetime contact pages.

Q. Can I email my favorite show?
A.
Most of them, yes. You can usually find the email addresses using the contact pages listed above.
