With rumors running rampant across all corners of the Internet that both ABC and NBC are considering the cancellation of their infant soaps Port Charles and Sunset Beach. I thought we'd do this weeks article a bit differently. I want to hear from you, your views on whether these shows should be cancelled or if the networks should keep them around and give them more time to strut their stuff. I've provided the details of the "pending" cancellations as I know them, as well as a poll for both shows. Please take a moment to respond to the polls and let us know what you think.

Word on the Street about Port Charles

ABC is reportedly in production on a new show that is a hybrid Talk Show/Soap Opera. The new show is being called Day by Day and will focus on the behind the scenes action of a talk show, within a soap opera format. Rumor is that this show will replace Port Charles on ABC's lineup. Nothing definite is being said by the network at this time.

Word on the Street about Sunset Beach:

Sunset Beach is teetering on the verge of being cancelled. Rumor has it that NBC is looking toward a daytime lineup that only consists of two soaps, and more newsy type shows. There has been no official word from the network on this yet, but fans need to let their voices be heard on this issue, before the official word comes down in October.
