ALL MY CHILDREN
Ellen Bethea (Janelle): Bethea (ex-Rachel, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) debuted on
December 16 in the recurring role. Tawny Cypress (Shambala Stevens): Cypress
will recur in the role of Maggie (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Henry's (Ivan
Shaw) professor starting on January 14. Michele Pawk (Marishka): Marishka first
pops up on January 15 as an acclaimed photographer hired for a special shoot at
Fusion, Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) and Kendall's (Alicia Minshew) new cosmetics
company.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Martha Byrne (Lily Snyder/Rose D'Angelo): Byrne returns from maternity leave in
time for Lily to give birth to a Snyder baby girl on Christmas. Her first air
date is December 24.Grayson McCouch (Dusty Donovan): It's been 15 years since
Dusty has been in town, and almost seven since McCouch (ex-Morgan, ANOTHER
WORLD) has been in the daytime world. "I remember soaps to be heavily loaded
with a lot of demands, and I look forward to returning to that kind of work
ethic - I thrive on it," he says. "And it's a great show to be a part of. AS
THE WORLD TURNS is a classy operation with great actors." He first airs in

ONE LIFE TO LIVE
Barbara Garrick (Allison Perkins): Crazy, man! Allison is back, beginning on
January 13.Bruce Michael Hall (Character TBA): PASSIONS vet Hall (ex-Reese) has
been tapped as the sixth actor to fill a role that'll be familiar to OLTL fans
- look for him to begin on January 3. Sylvia Miles (Stella): Roxy's
(Ilene Kristen) mother first appears on December 27.Bree Williamson (Jessica
Buchanan): With Erin Torpey departing, the role has been recast with soap
newcomer Williamson, who first airs on February 5.
PASSIONS
Chea Courtney (Angel Girl): The mystical figure returns on December 26 to watch
over Harmony during Christmas. Cristina Soria (Judge's Secretary): Soria (also
known as Cristina Morena of Spanish series LADRONZUELA and BARATA DE PRIMAVERA)
pops up on December 31 and January 2.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Lisa Rinna (Billie Reed): The actress will last air on January 8.
GUIDING LIGHT
Joan Collins (Alexandra Spaulding): She last airs on December 24. MacIntyre
Dixon (Elkin): Dixon (ex-Bertie, EDGE OF NIGHT) plays a mysterious guest at
the Beacon on December 24.
PASSIONS
Bruce Michael Hall (Reese Durkee): Now that he's been cast on OLTL, Hall is
history as of January 10. The role will be recast. The actor, who originated
the part of the nerdy teen shortly after PASSIONS's debut in 1999, was
bumped up from recurring to contract status in August, 2000. Last June, Hall
decided not to renew his contract, but did remain in Harmony as a recurring
character.
WHO'S STAYING
PORT CHARLES
Ian Buchanan (Joshua Temple), Michael Easton (Stephen Clay/Caleb Morley) and
Rebecca Staab (Elizabeth Barrington): ABC confirms that these actors will be
sticking around through the show's 10th arc, "Surrender." Rumors are swirling
that they'll remain on-canvas for the 11th arc, as well.
REAL-LIFE STATUS
Here Comes The Bride:
Julianne Morris (ex-Greta, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; ex-Amy, YOUNG AND RESTLESS)
became engaged to actor Kristoffer Polaha on December 7 at the Post Ranch
Inn in Big Sur, CA. "I feel so blessed to have Kristoffer in my life," beams
the actress. "If the proposal is any example of how the rest of our lives
will be, I can't wait." Look for Polaha to play JFK, Jr. in the upcoming TBS
movie AMERICA'S PRINCE: THE JOHN F. KENNEDY, JR. STORY.
Babies On Board:
Nolan North (Chris, PORT CHARLES) and wife Jill Murray North (ex-Melanie,
PC, both l.) are expecting their second child. The couple
already has a son. "My little guy [Cooper] will be 3 in January, and we have
another baby due in June," smiles North. "The second one is less climactic.
Jill pointed out the other day, at this point in the [last] pregnancy, we
had a stroller, toys and were picking out colors ... this time, we're like,
'Yeah, yeah; we'll just keep this from Cooper.' The unknown isn't there this
time. It doesn't make the birth any less exciting, but there's no fear." ...
Jennie Garth (Valerie, WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU; ex-Kelly,
BEVERLY HILLS, 90210) and husband Peter Facinelli (Van, FASTLANE) welcomed
their latest addition, second daughter Lola Ray, on December 6 in Los
Angeles. The baby weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces. The couple, who wed in
2001, have another daughter, Luca Bella, who was born in 1997.
Update: Frances Bay (ex-Leah, PC), who was hit by a car in
Glendale, CA on November 21, has been transferred to USC University Hospital
and has been upgraded to stable condition.
