Passions 12/08/99
Gwen is furious at catching Theresa with Ethan in his bed. She will not let him explain and refuses to listen to a word from his mouth. She tells Ethan she’s done believing and it’s over. They argue as Theresa looks on from the bed. Suddenly Gwen turns on Theresa as Theresa doesn’t say a word, but looks at Gwen with a confused look on her face.
Finally Theresa tells Gwen she only came there to work. Ethan is furious and starts defending Theresa. Gwen gets pissed off and starts grabbing her things as she rips into Theresa some more and then turns her diatribe onto Pilar. Theresa tells Gwen she can say what she wants about her, but to leave her mother out of it. Gwen says she should apologize for saying that about Pilar. It’s not her fault that her daughter is such a bitch. Ethan continues to push Gwen’s buttons by sticking up for Theresa. Gwen angrily tells Theresa that she’ll give her some hints on Ethan. She rants on about sex, birth control (as she’s throwing condoms on the bed), pillows, and other personal things. Then she slams out of the room and bursts into tears.
Ethan cleans up the condoms as he apologizes to Theresa. He then leaves to follow Gwen. Theresa picks up the phone to call Whitney. She tells her what just happened.
Downstairs Gwen runs into Ivy. She tells Ivy that Theresa was with Ethan. She pushes out of the house and Ivy heads upstairs. She tries to stop Ethan on his way down but he rushes past her to find Gwen. Ivy continues up the stairs in search of Theresa.
Meanwhile Theresa is on the phone telling Whitney that nothing is going to stop her from being Mrs. Ethan Crane, just as Ethan’s door is slowly opening.
At the Book Café Kay approaches Charity and Miguel. She suggests that they all hang out together since they’re all there.
Outside the Book Café, Tabitha explains that Charity must not only like Miguel, but she must have sex with him (experience “LOVE”) in order to get her powers. She has to also explain sex to Timmy. He thinks it’s gross.
Tabby enters the Café and walks over to the kids. She’s holding Timmy in doll form and he opens his eyes. Charity catches it and Tabby explains it as bad springs. She leaves to get a table, and the kids talk about her. Charity says it’s kind of sad because she uses the “doll” as a child. Kay makes fun of Tabby and Miguel tells her they shouldn’t do that anymore…Tabitha is just a lonely old woman.
Kay changes the subject and starts to reminisce with Miguel about their past. They end up planning a ski trip. Kay and Charity get up to go to the ladies room. Tabby sees them and grabs Timmy to beat the girls into the room. She wants to know what Kay has planned for Charity.
In the ladies room Charity watches Kay put on makeup. They discuss Miguel and Reese. Kay warns Charity not to give Miguel the wrong idea. Charity is confused and insists Kay tell her what to do. She tells Charity that you must take things slow. If Reese were to try to kiss her, she’d not let him because within two more dates he’d expect to sleep with her. Kay tells Charity that boys think with their hormones not their brains. Tabitha sits in the stall enjoying every moment of this exchange.
Whitney runs into Chad at the hospital. She tries to explain that she’s trying to stay out of trouble by not hanging out with him. She’s not trying to be rude. Chad walks off to get a soda and Simone shows up with T.C.. Chad returns and T.C. has him update him on Orville’s progress. Chad asks about the search of Orville’s house. T.C. tells him they didn’t find out much, except they found a stack of envelopes containing hundred dollar bills. T.C. says he knows he’s seen those blue envelopes again, but he can’t remember where. Just then Eve hands a blue envelope to the nurse and asks her to mail it out.
In Orville’s room Eve tells Orville she’d rather see him dead than let him spill the beans and ruin her family.
In the hallway Eve once again warns Whitney and Simone to stay away from Chad. She wants better for her daughters than she had.
She heads off to talk to Ivy and Ivy wants to know what Eve has to hold over Julian. Eve says very little.
Back in Orville’s room Orville talks to Eve about how he must scare her. He tells her that there is someone else that knows her secret. This frightens Eve.
Chad gets tired of waiting on Orville and heads out for the night. He goes to the Book Café to work up the play list for the next day. He chats for a minute with Miguel and Reese and then takes off to put on some mood music for the two couples. After he leaves Reese brings up the idea of kissing Kay that night. Miguel urges him on.
Out in the Café Miguel tries to get closer to Charity, but she pulls away. She tells him she doesn’t think they should kiss this soon.
