At the Bennett house, Sam continues to suspect that Tabitha had something to do with Charity’s fire. Grace does not believe there is any way Tabitha would do something. Sam tells Grace all of his reasons behind believing that the fire was not an accident. The talk out the situation, but Grace still refuses to believe Tabby could be involved.
Across the yard, Tabitha and Timmy mourn the fact that they were not successful in killing Charity at the school. Tabitha also comes to the realization that she’s lost her powers. Timmy urges her not to give up. She tells him she’s met her match and now she’s all washed up. To prove that Tabitha is not all washed up, Timmy brings down her bag of tricks and tries to play magician. Tabitha lays back on the couch and watches in amusement. He manages to cheer her up. Tabitha says “…maybe I’m not washed up after all.”
At the school Miguel bumps into Charity causing her to remember an earlier time when they bumped into each other…the first time they met. Kay urges Charity not to push her memories…to live in the present. They all break up and leave the school. Miguel and Charity head to Tabitha’s house.
Charity tells Miguel that she needs to talk to Tabitha alone. He is reluctant to leave her but eventually agrees. Charity goes to the house and Tabitha lets her in. They talk about the fire and Charity tells Tabitha that she’s getting her memory back. Tabitha prods to find out what Charity has remembered. Charity tells her that they’re not much yet, but coming back. She then asks about the painting. Tabby looks nervous. Charity asks to see it again so she might be able to spark her memory.
Tabby tells Charity that it was damaged and she got rid of it. She tries to get Charity out of the house, but Charity tells her she has a gift for her. She gives Tabitha a gift bag that holds a potted flower arrangement. She tells Tabitha that she wants to get to know her better. She explains that she has a feeling that Tabitha and Tabitha’s house will help her remember her past. Tabitha rushes her out with the offer of a rain check, explaining that she has a headache.
After Charity leaves one of Tabby’s ancient books starts to levitate around the room. It lands on the table and opens to a particular page. Tabitha thinks this might be proof that she’s going to get her powers back. Just then the book bursts into flames.
Miguel goes to the Bennett’s and talks about Charity and what happened at the school with her memory. Kay tells Simone and Jessica that she’s beaten. She realizes that Charity will have Miguel now that her memory is coming back. Charity returns to the Bennett house and Miguel asks her out on a date. This causes Charity to remember her first date with Miguel. Just then everyone enters the kitchen and Miguel asks again if she’ll go out on a “real” date with him. She tells him she’d love that.
Kay slams out of the kitchen. Simone follows and takes Kay a jacket. Kay says it’s over with Miguel forever.
Up at the Crane mansion, Ethan continues to fret about Gwen being upset with what she saw at the cabin. He goes off to find her. Ivy rips into Julian about sending Theresa up to the cabin. She threatens to tell Alistair what is going on. He turns the threat around on Ivy and says he’ll tell Ethan all of her secrets if she talks to Alistair. Ivy tells him he’s bluffing, but looks worried. Julian leaves the room and Ivy pulls out her locket and talks to the picture of Sam.
In the entryway Julian pauses and says he was bluffing…he knows she has a secret, but he needs to find out what it is. Pilar walks by and Julian stops her. He asks her how far she’d go to protect Ivy. He asks Pilar to tell him things about Ivy. She refuses and says it’s her policy to keep her mouth shut. He dismisses her.
Later Pilar tells Ethan that Gwen is at her house, and he’d better go talk to her.
Gwen shows up at the Lopez-Fitzgerald house and tells Theresa they need to talk. She pushes her way into the house. She taunts Theresa about having a best friend like Whitney to share her secrets and schemes with. Just then Pilar walks in and stops dead when she sees Gwen. Gwen tells her she’s just there for a chat with Theresa. Pilar leaves and Whitney makes an excuse to do the same.
Gwen tells Theresa she’s there for answers. Theresa tells her she needs to know the question before she can give answers. The biggest question Gwen asks is about Theresa wanting to get Ethan for herself. Theresa acts confused and Gwen tells her she’s sure that Theresa would sell her soul to marry Ethan. She’s doing all of this with a smile on her face, yet her words are sharp as daggers. Whitney stands in Theresa’s doorway eavesdropping. She warns Theresa that she’ll protect her investment and not let Ethan get trapped by any gold digger.
Gwen gets beeped and asks to use the phone in Theresa’s room since Whitney had taken it in there. Theresa tells her no, she can’t go in her room. Gwen gets a look on her face and asks Theresa why not? Theresa tells her there’s a phone in the kitchen. Gwen asks her what she’s hiding. She asks if Theresa has made a shrine in her room to the guy she has a crush on. We cut to Theresa’s room and see all of the pictures of Ethan on the mirror and walls.
Gwen goes upstairs as Theresa tells her she doesn’t want her in her room. Gwen ignores her and walks in. She says “Just what I expected.” As Theresa cowers in the hall outside the room.
In Santa Fe Sheridan and Luis are making their way up to Martin’s cabin in a torrential downpour when they’re swept into the rushing river. They call out for each other and then Sheridan is swept into a rock. She’s knocked out and starts to fall to the bottom of the river. Luis rushes to her rescue. (Note: These are about the most realistic scenes I’ve ever seen in a soap.) Luis dives below the water and finds Sheridan, he swims her to safety.
Once there he gives her mouth to mouth to bring her around. He tells her he’ll take care of her now. He carries her to the cabin and starts a fire. Sheridan is cold, wet, and feverish. He starts to undress as she pops into his arms. He tells her she’s safe.
Later we see Sheridan in bed completely naked and bundled over with blankets. She relives her near drowning in her dreams and her rescue by Luis with some dream elements included. She wakes up and asks “Are you the one? Are you the great love of my life?”
