Passions 10/22/99
Down in the living room Julian is trying to get Ethan to admit that he wanted to sleep with Theresa. He is disappointed in Ethan. He wishes he had given it at least a thought. He tells him to sow his wild oats before he commits to Gwen. Julian tells him to think about Theresa. Ethan refuses. Julian asks Ethan to be honest with him and admit that there has been at least one moment when he’s thought of taking Theresa to bed. Ethan tells Julian he’s never thought of it, not for a moment. Julian tells him good that’s what he wants to hear. He tells Ethan he was testing him. His marriage to Gwen will be a good merger. He urges Ethan to fix his trouble with Gwen. He gives Ethan the idea to have a romantic dinner that night.
In Ivy’s room Gwen catches Theresa looking at the picture of Ethan. She flashes back to Ethan telling her that he means nothing to Ethan. She says to Theresa “he’s very handsome isn’t he?” Theresa agrees. Gwen tells Theresa that her engagement to Ethan will be official soon. Gwen rubs it in a bit. (Her talons are sharp.) Theresa uses Gwen, as a scratching post by saying (in French) that she thinks their marriage will be a marriage of convenience. Gwen says they’re only marrying because they are in love. Ethan would give up all of his money for love. Theresa dreamily responds that she knows exactly how Ethan feels about love
This slows Gwen down for a minute. She asks Theresa how she could know this and Theresa responds that he told her. Gwen wants details. Theresa talks about the romance of the ballet. She and Ethan talked about love in this romantic setting and all Ethan talked about was his love for Gwen. This helps Gwen to pull in her talons a bit. They spar a bit more about Theresa going out with Ethan, but Theresa convinces Gwen she’s just thrilled that she got to go the ballet.
Just then Ethan enters the room. Gwen tells him that they were talking about him. He’s kind of frightened by that. Theresa tells him that they were saying he was romantic. He tells Gwen that her family wants her to call home and after she leaves he asks Theresa why they were talking about him. She explains that the conversation was mostly about the ballet. He then asks her to arrange a romantic dinner for him for that night. She’s giddy with delight and agrees. She thinks the dinner is for her and Ethan. Ethan leaves and runs into Gwen. He tells her that he wants to spend time with her tonight.
Meanwhile Theresa calls Whitney and tells her that Ethan wants to have dinner with her tonight…her dreams are coming true. She also tells Whitney that Gwen is jealous. This is moving so fast.
Later Theresa has pulled out all the stops to turn the living room into the setting of a romantic dinner for two. Ethan and Julian walk in and tell her that it looks fantastic. Ethan says she almost read his mind. She’s done exactly what he wanted, she agrees that it’s what she wanted too. She leaves and Julian starts to needle Ethan again about having feelings for Theresa. He urges him to look deep in her eyes the next time they’re together. Ethan blows him off.
Julian leaves and Theresa comes down the stairs. She’s changed into a simple black dress and walks into the living room. She asks Ethan if this is what he wanted. He turns and sees her and tells her that her eyes are exquisite. He seems to be noticing Theresa for the first time. Just then Gwen walks in.
In the Bennett kitchen Charity apologizes again for being frightened of Miguel. He tells her not to worry about it. Sam and Grace tell her not to push herself.
Outside Kay is ranting about Charity and Miguel and the fact that everyone seems to be pushing them together. Jessica rushes out and tells Kay that the decision has been made and Charity will be living with them. Kay refuses to believe it as Jessica rubs it in. Jessica goes back in and Kay goes to the front of the house with Simone. She’s working on a new plan to seduce Miguel.
Tabitha is lurking behind the hedge and taking credit for the fires that got Faith, Grace, and Charity. Tabitha thinks Kay will be the perfect person to help her. Tabitha hears something in the conversation that excites her and she says she now has the perfect way to get Kay to help. She goes into the house, and tells Timmy to keep his eye out. Timmy hesitates and then follows Tabby back to the house because he must get ready for Halloween.
Jessica enters the house again and tells everyone in the kitchen that Kay is thrilled with the news. Sam suggests that Jessica and Miguel take Charity out for a walk in her new neighborhood. Grace feels bad for Charity since she’s lost her memory. She vows to make Charity feel normal. Sam goes out to the car to grab some things and Grace says she’ll make snacks. Tabitha joins her in the kitchen. She subtly pumps Grace for information on Charity. Tabitha also suggests that Charity have lots of privacy while she’s there. Grace agrees and says she’ll need to ask Kay to go back in with Jessica and Charity can take over the sewing room. Grace is sure that Kay will understand.
Tabitha is looking for Timmy when she hears the sounds of a dog and cat getting into it. She opens the door and something flies in. It’s Timmy dressed for Halloween as a dog. He was hoping to scare Fluffy. It didn’t work. Tabitha shows him the correct way to roar like a dog. She then tells him that she expects to get her powers back by Halloween with Kay’s help. Young girls are supposed to have psychic powers. She plans to play on that with Kay.
Upstairs in Kay’s new room, Simone tells Kay that she loves what she has done to her room. Kay says that she did a lot of work on it. (My question is WHEN?) Simone wants to know if she and Chad can borrow it someday. Kay tells her it will not be available. She kicks Simone off the bed telling her that she wants it to be perfect for Miguel. Simone goes to look out the window and notices that Jessica and Miguel are taking a walk with Charity. She runs out to stop them.
Jessica gets a rock in her shoe (yea right!) and urges Charity to continue on with Miguel and she’ll catch up. She’s taking care of her show when Kay and Simone catch up. Kay pushes her out of the way and then runs to Charity all happy and gooey and tells her she just heard the news and is so excited she’s coming to stay at the house. Jessica and Simone come up behind them, Jessica questions Kay when she says she is THRILLED that Charity will be with them. Kay hushes her and then has Charity return to the house to get her new room set up. As they leave Miguel says that no one has a better friend than Kay.
They all enter the house and talk to her about her new room. Grace and Sam tell Kay that she needs to move back in with Jessica so Charity can have her new room to herself. Kay looks shocked. Simone tries to get Grace to change her mind. Charity tells Kay that she’ll let her keep the room. Jessica says that she’d be happy to have Kay back in her room. Miguel backs Kay into the proverbial corner by agreeing that Kay would give her room up for Charity’s sake. Kay agrees.
Outside Tabitha is ecstatic that her plan seems to be working and Kay looks like she’s ready to tear Charity to pieces.
Jessica leads Charity up to her new room. Charity loves it and is happy that Kay is being so nice to her. Kay tells her that she’s happy to do it. Miguel sees a Nintendo 64 game and offers to teach Charity to play. Jessica urges her to take him up on it because he’s the best. Kay leaves the room.
She goes down to the kitchen and Sam asks if she’s sure she’s ok with giving up her room. He’s happy and asks her to keep a close eye on Charity. She agrees. He goes back to the coincidence that Charity and Grace both went through the same thing. It’s not sitting right with him.
Tabitha tells Timmy that she needs to get Kay over to her house. Kay is now one of them. They run off as they hear Simone and Kay come out into the yard. They listen to Kay rant about Jessica and Charity.
