Passions 10/19/99
We open at the ballet with Luis trying to find out from Ethan where Theresa is. He believes she is in the dressing room behind Ethan. He barges in to find Gwen sitting at the vanity. She is gracious and asks Luis how she can help him. Luis insists that Theresa must still be there. He’s positive he saw her. He threatens that there will be hell to pay if he finds out that they were hiding her.
Luis and Ethan get into. Sheridan tells Luis and Ethan to back off. Luis insists on looking around. He leaves the dressing room and Sheridan tells Theresa to get home ASAP. She says she’ll keep Luis busy. Ethan tells Theresa to go to the backstage door and Charles will driver her home. Theresa thanks Gwen and Ethan for not saying anything to Luis. She and Sheridan leave the dressing room.
Gwen is not happy. She demands to know “what the hell is going on here?” He is confused over why she’s upset. She’s not happy that she found him there with another woman. She is totally jealous and mad that when he saw her he shoved her in a room and told her to play along. Ethan explains that he wasn’t with another woman, he was with Theresa. He also explains that this was his mother’s idea. She admits to being jealous. She brings up the fortune cookie she got at the carnival. He tells her that she does not have to be jealous of Theresa, she will not come between them. He tells her that it is a non-issue because Theresa is in love with another man. Gwen asks him if Theresa was not in love with someone else, should she worry then?
Ethan tells Gwen that she’s being silly. Gwen doesn’t buy it. She tells Ethan she’s seen the way Theresa’s looked at him. She insists that Theresa has a crush on him. He does not believe that Theresa has ANY feeling for him.
Theresa gets out to the limo and finds that Charles is changing a flat tire. She’s worried that Sheridan will not be able to keep Luis busy long enough for her to get home.
Outside Sheridan helps Luis into the car and then pretends she can not find her keys. She digs in her purse as she continues to stall. Luis gets fed up and insists he’s going to call a cab. Sheridan figures that Theresa must be home by then and miraculously finds her key. She still takes her time getting started and Luis gets upset and urges her to go.
Meanwhile, Theresa is still waiting for Charles to get her home.
Luis and Sheridan get back to the Lopez-Fitzgerald house. He heads up to Theresa’s room and questions her about the theater. She plays like she’s asleep and when he leaves jumps out of bed in her ball gown.
Theresa dances around her room with her playbill. She hopes this is the first of many such nights.
Downstairs Luis enters the kitchen and says “something’s not right.” He heads out of the kitchen with Sheridan on his heels. Upstairs he decides not to follow his hunch and he heads back to the kitchen. He and Sheridan get into it again and she stalks off.
On the docks a few drunks hit on Simone. She goes to a pay phone to call Kay. She tells Kay she doesn’t think she should have done this. A homeless man comes up and asks her for a quarter. Kay thinks this is all funny and urges Simone to continue her trek to the pool hall. She walks on just as Whitney rounds the corner and wonders where Simone is.
At the pool hall Chad is still trying to get his game winnings from the dude that he played. He pushes the guy over the edge of a pool table and finds a wad of cash in his pants pocket. He pulls it out and takes what he won. Gives the rest to the guy and walks off waiting for her burger and fries. As he sits at a table, the punk comes up to him and holds a switchblade out. He demands his money back. Chad refuses and the two of them fight. Simone walks in and hollers “CHAD!” Chad womps the punk. Simone is worried because he’s bleeding. Just then Whitney walks in and tells Simone she’s taking her home.
Whitney jumps down on Simone and tells her that she’s going. Why would she want a man like Chad a common “street fighter”. Simone refuses and says she’s staying to watch Chad shoot some pool. Chad chimes in and tells her to hit the road. Whitney threatens to call T.C. and Simone agrees to go with her. Simone apologizes to Chad and he tells her he’ll be around for a while. Simone is thrilled.
As Miguel prays for Charity, Kay spies on him. She is now more determined than ever to get Miguel to stop looking for Charity. Miguel wants Charity kept safe until he can get to her. Kay thinks if she tells Miguel she knows a shortcut he’ll go with her. She comes out and tells him that Charity must already be back in Harmony. He agrees to go with her on the shortcut. They walk off. Chad goes to the bar to get his food and the bartender tells him that when he leaves Harmony he’ll be breaking that little girl’s heart. He tells Chad that Simone is in love with him.
Over on the train tracks Tabitha is chortling over the fact that the train is going to kill Charity in short order. Timmy gets stuck on the track. He urges Tabitha to help him, as he’s terrified of the train coming. Tabitha works on his leg, but assures him that if they can’t get it out, she’ll just sew him a new one. Timmy is not satisfied with that answer and tells her he wants the one he has now. He starts to cry.
Tabitha finally pulls Timmy’s leg free. The train is closer and Tabitha is excited. Just then she hears someone coming. She and Timmy go hide. Kay comes out of the trees and sees Charity on the tracks. She sees the train coming, Miguel is behind her and asks her “what is it?” Kay struggles with whether to tell him what she’s seen. He asks what’s wrong and Kay tells him nothing. Just then he sees Charity on the tracks. He rushes to save her as Kay holds him back. Kay tells him the train is too close.
Miguel breaks free and gets to Charity just as the train goes by. Tabitha is thrilled that the train will kill both “troublemakers” as Kay screams Miguel’s name in terror. The train passes and Miguel appears carrying Charity in his arms. He gives Kay the credit for being the one to save Charity.
Miguel carries Charity back to the burnout remains of her home. He is worried that Charity is not waking up. Kay assures him that all will be fine.
Tabitha is disgusted that Charity is still alive. Kay isn’t very happy either.
Tabitha thinks there might be a way to get Charity away from Miguel. Just then the angel girl shows up and blinds Tabitha. She tells Tabitha that good won over evil like it always does. Tabitha goes to choke her and gets her hands burned with crosses. The angel girl disappears as Tabitha withers in pain.
Back in the Russell bedroom Eve is still trying to get T.C. to fess up to what’s bothering him. She wants to know if it has something to do with the Crane family. T.C. flashes back to the time he threatened to kill Julian. He tells Eve to just forget it. She refuses and tells him she wants to help. He tells her there is nothing to talk about. She frustrates him and he snaps at her. He apologizes and says he’s fine. She backs off and they go to bed.
When T.C. thinks that Eve is asleep he gets up and goes to get a key out of his dresser. He grabs a sweater and leaves the room. Eve pretends to sleep and after he leaves opens her eyes.
Whitney and Simone return to the Russell house. They hold a whispered argument in the hallway. In the end Whitney agrees not to tell her parents what happened. Simone goes to bed and Whitney goes to her mother’s room. She finds Eve staring at the backyard. Whitney asks what is in the shed?, Why does T.C. keep it locked? and What is he doing in there?
