Passions 10/14/99

**A few bits and pieces are missing from this update due to hurricane Irene coverage in my area.**

At the Russell house, Eve is confronting Simone after finding Chad in the house. Simone reminds her that she said it was OK for her to have friends over for dinner. Eve yanks both girls into the kitchen for a private chat. Chad tries to high tail it out of the house, but T.C. tells him to take a seat. They exchange chit chat about the coat and married life. T.C. tries to get to know Chad. Chad explains that he loves all kinds of music. He tells him about his job in LA and what happened. Chad says "so much for dreams." T.C. says he understands. This world is full of jerks, but you can’t let anyone interfere with your dreams.

In the kitchen Eve asks for an explanation from Simone as to why Chad is there. Eve reads Simone the riot act, and Simone tells her she’s not a baby anymore, she can have anyone over that she wants. They continue to argue and Simone hits below the belt when she reminds Eve that they don’t know anything about Eve’s family. Eve is shocked and says we’re not talking about her family. She gets angry again about Simone sneaking around and lying. She turns and starts in on Whitney for not telling her on the phone that Chad was there.

Chad wanders around the family room looking at the portraits. T.C., Eve, Whitney, and Simone walk out of the kitchen. Eve apologizes for the way the evening went. Chad says he needs to leave. Simone is upset that dinner was messed up, she urges him to not stop looking for his parents. He leaves and Simone breaks into tears. She accuses Eve of ruining her life.

Simone tells Eve that there is nothing worse she could have done to her, than what she did tonight. Simone is terribly upset and Eve is very composed and pious. Simone tells her she’s old enough to choose her own friends. Why won’t Eve let her grow up. She knows Whitney is the good sister. Simone says she can’t be the good sister and let her mom tell her everything to do. She is not going to fall in love with someone because Eve approves, she’ll fall in love with whomever she wants and there is nothing they can do about it. She screams that Eve is trying to wreck her life and she’s not going to let that happen. Simone then storms out of the room.

T.C. tries to comfort Eve. Eve is not comforted and Whitney does not look happy as she walks off.

Over at the hospital, Charity is gone and Miguel is upset that she just wandered away. Kay reminds him that Sam has the police looking for her. Miguel mentions that he’s upset that the nurse told Kay that Charity was ok, when she was missing. Kay flashes back to the phone call and the nurse telling her that she’s glad someone called, Charity is missing and they’re looking for her. In the flashback you see Kay telling Miguel that Charity is ok. Back in current time, Miguel stalks out looking for the nurse, ready to read her the riot act. Kay stops him. He starts pacing and then he exclaims that Charity must have gone back to her house in Castleton.

The nurse comes in and has some information on someone that dropped Charity off in Castleton. Miguel instructs the nurse to call Sam and give him that information. He and Kay take off looking for Charity. They go out to the motorcycle and they talk about hurrying so Charity doesn’t end up one of those kids on the milk cartons. Next we see Kay daydreaming and she and Miguel are dressed in fifties clothing eating breakfast. Kay is holding a milk carton and Charity’s picture is on it. In the background we hear the music from "Leave it to Beaver" playing.

They pull into the gas station that we all assumed Tabitha had blown up with the matches a few weeks ago. Kay has a daydream that they find Charity and she remembers Miguel. She and Miguel go off on the bike leaving Kay all by herself. Kay will not let this happen so she takes a manicure kit out of her bag and puts a hole in Miguel’s motorcycle tire. Later as they’re flying down the road, the tire goes flat and they wreck.

We see Charity at the burned out remains of her home. She remembers and starts calling out for her mother. Charity cries for her mother, wishing she had someone to help her find her mother.

Tabitha and Timmy are walking through the woods planning to reunite Charity with Faith. Tabitha reminds Timmy that they are not safe as long as Charity is alive. She says it’s time for Charity to say TaTa and cackles at the syringe she’s holding. Tabitha describes how she’s going to kill Charity. The only problem is what to do with her body. Timmy says he’s already dug a grave and lined it with flowers. Tabitha says too bad since she can’t drag Charity all the way back to town. Maybe they’ll turn it into a hot tub. Timmy daydreams of listening to Wayne Newton and drowning Fluffy. He tells Tabitha that yes, he would like a hot tub.

Tabitha and Timmy sneak up on Charity. Tabby is thrilled that she’s managed to lure Charity away from the hospital. She flashes back to her visit with Charity when she was dressed as a nun. She comes back to reality, and pulls out the syringe. She fills it with some type of poison, and Timmy yelps. Charity hears something and yells out for her mother.

Tabby makes a sound similar to a hoot from an owl and Charity figures she just heard one in the distance. Tabitha readies the syringe and sneaks up on Charity, she raises it above her head like a dagger and…stabs it into Charity’s shoulder. Charity looks startled and passes out. Tabitha now has to come up with a way to kill Charity. Timmy suggests a cliff, but she reminds him there are no cliffs around. They hear a train whistle blowing in the distance, and Tabitha gets a look on her face as she factors the train into the death of Charity.

She plans to let Charity get run over by the train. She wants Timmy’s help but he says he’s too tired. Tabitha threatens that if he doesn’t help, he’ll join Charity on the tracks. They work to get her to the tracks. Timmy is very tired and not much help to Tabitha.

Over at Sheridan’s cottage, Pilar is assuring Sheridan that she’ll find a special man when the time is right. Sheridan says she’d have left town already if it wasn’t for her community service and Luis. She goes on to describe Luis in not so flattering terms to Pilar. Pilar takes this with grace and asks Sheridan if maybe her run ins with Luis have affected her reaction to all men. Pilar tells Sheridan that on Luis’ first day on the force, he gave Pilar a ticket for jay walking, he then paid the ticket himself with his first paycheck. She hopes that this will help Sheridan to understand him better. That he follows the rules by the book but that he’s also very caring. She thinks he’s set up boundaries, as he has been the man of the house since his father disappeared and his brother left home. He’s very hard on himself. Sheridan says, regardless of what drives Luis, when her community service is over, she’s heading back to Paris. She walks outside.

On the pier, Hank and Luis discuss the muggings. Luis is on patrol. Hank wonders how they could be such good friends when they are like night and day. Luis is the good son, and Hank is the black sheep. He then asks about Sheridan and how she and Luis are getting along now that he’s lost to her in bball. We’re treated to a flashback. Luis is not happy and says that he is amazed at what Crane money can buy. He accuses her for cheating by hiring Robert Horry. Hank wants to know what makes Luis madder that he lost to a woman or that he lost to a Crane. This just starts Luis on another rant about Sheridan.

We see Sheridan standing on the pier looking out at the water. A man sneaks up behind her, covers her mouth, and drags her off. He pulls her around a corner just as Luis comes up behind them and shouts "freeze" the bad guy turns around and kicks Luis’ gun out of his hands. He lets go of Sheridan and tussles with Luis. Sheridan grabs a bottle and accidentally hits Luis on the head with it. The masked attacker gets up and goes toward her, she calls out for Luis.
