NBC’S HOTTEST DAYTIME STARS CONFIRM THEIR ATTENDANCE AT “NBC SOAP FANFEST” AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO’S ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE THEME PARK NOVEMBER 11 & 12

NBC Daytime is pleased to announce the confirmed attendance of more than 30 of daytime’s biggest stars at “NBC Soap FanFest” being held at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando, Florida on Saturday and Sunday, November 11-12. This is the first event of its kind in the history of NBC Daytime.

Fans will be able to meet and interact with Kristian Alfonso, Nadia Bjorlin, Matt Cedeno, Jason Cook, Patrika Darbo, Drake Hogestyn, Deidre Hall, Jay Kenneth Johnson, Lauren Koslow, Joe Mascolo, Julianne Morris, Austin Peck, Peter Reckell, Kevin Spiritas, Kirsten Storms, Alison Sweeney, and Arianne Zuker from the hit daytime drama “Days of Our Lives.”

In addition, several stars from NBC Daytime’s newest phenomenon “Passions” will be on hand including Galen Gering, James Hyde, Kim Johston Ulrich, Brook Kerr, Lindsay Korman, Ben Masters, Jesse Metcalfe, Juliet Mills, Tracey Ross, Travis Schuldt, Molly Stanton, Donn Swaby, Eva Tamargo Lemus, and McKenzie Westmore.

Participants in “NBC Soap FanFest” will have the opportunity to secure their favorite stars’ autograph, ask questions during the Q&A sessions and possibly have a chance to act out a scene with a soap star at one of Islands of Adventure’s five dramatically themed islands. A highlight of the weekend will be the official “Days of Our Lives” 35th anniversary party hosted by NBC and Universal Orlando for the fans at the park’s Toon Amphitheater.

“I’m thrilled that nearly three dozen stars from our soaps are coming to Universal Orlando,” said Sheraton Kalouria, Senior Vice President, NBC Daytime Programs. “With at least 15 stars from each show, fans are sure to see most of their favorites at NBC Soap FanFest.”

The Universal Orlando resort destination (www.uescape.com) includes two spectacularly themed adjacent theme parks, the Universal Studios motion picture and television theme park and Islands of Adventure, the most technologically advanced theme park ever created. Universal Orlando also includes CityWalk, a 30-acre dining, shopping, club and live-entertainment venue as well as premier on-site Loews hotels and world-class film and television production facilities.

More information about “NBC Soap FanFest” will be available at the official NBC Daytime website at nbc.com/daytime beginning August 29. The website will provide up-to-the-minute information on the weekend’s events and exclusive coverage of the event as it occurs.

“Days of our Lives” is produced by Corday Productions Inc. in association with Columbia Pictures Television. Executive producer, Ken Corday, is following in the tradition of his parents, Betty and Ted Corday, who co-created “Days of our Lives” and helmed the series for many years. Tom Langan is also an executive producer and head writer for the show. “Days of our Lives” premiered on NBC on November 8, 1965.

“Passions” is a creation of celebrated daytime drama veteran James E. Reilly, who is considered by many industry insiders to be one of the most innovative and prolific writers of the genre. “Passions” is produced by NBC Studios in association Outpost Farms Productions, Inc. and is taped in Studio City, California. Lisa Hesser is the executive producer. “Passions” premiered on NBC on July 5, 1999.
