So we finally see the return of "evil" Tabby this week.
She is just driving Charity to the brink with her guilt trips, and she played
the Timmy card. This could have been classic Passions.. but unfortunately, it
just smacked as false. I didn't buy Charity's feelings at all, it seemed like
she was yelling instead of crying. I just didn't buy it. I weep for the future,
what in the world will they do with Tabitha once Charity, her arch-nemesis, is
gone? They can't possibly team her up with Kay.. because Kay is on the side of
evil with Tabby, so I don't know-- but I'm open to any suggestions.
I am SO sick of Liz. Her sick fantasy of Irma appearing at the door really had
me going. I really thought the story was breaking. But nope-- here we are again,
with Liz and Eve trading barbs while TC just lives over there in la-la land. So
ridiculous.
Well, Antonio died this week. I, for one, am glad he's gone. Antonio has been a
waste of oxygen since he stepped off St. Lisa's. The saddest thing about his
death tho-- whatever happened to the connection between Antonio and Alistair?
There was some heavy duty drama there-- why did Antonio leave town in the first
place? We were led to believe that it was something to do with Alistair. Also,
with the scenes of Katherine remembering Sheridan when she left.. this is
complete BULL. The show has always maintained that Katherine *died* when
Sheridan was 12, and when Luis was around 8. Now, in KaMart's flashbacks-- we
are led to believe that they were the same age? If this is true-- Sheridan is
now YOUNGER than Ethan.. because the show always maintained that Sheridan was
only 2-3 years older than Ethan. While we're on that track-- in order for Ethan
to be as old as they have always maintained (the whole having the law degree
thing).. it is now feasibly impossible. In Katherine's memories, Julian is a
budding teenager when she left.. he would have had to have been almost married
to Ivy before Katherine left for Ethan's age to add up. It now, officially
doesn't. Because of the rewriting and de-aging of both
Sheridan and Luis. This is what happens when the writers decide to ignore the
path they have written. UGH.
So Gwen is gonna try to seek more medical help when it comes to rearing kids?
Good for her. Of course, now this new doctor is the "BEST".. I thought the
doctor in LA was the best?? Go figure. I thought it was complete bull for the
writers to not allow Ethan to go into the room with Gwen while she met with the
doctor. This was so unrealistic. They are both in this together, right? Even if
Ethan still believes that Theresa is carrying the GweThan embryo.. this is still
important to Gwen.. why wouldn't she want him to be there for every little step?
Also-- what in the world is up with all of Ethan's drinking? That boy is
swilling champagne at every free moment. Where is Little Ethan while he is
chugging champagne and toasting Gwen? Oh yeah-- that's right. The Theresa haters
called her a horrible mom because she didn't tote lil E around at every
function.. but Ethan and Gwen are good parents, although we haven't seen them
spend time with him in over a month. Quality parenting, indeed.
What in the world was the deal with Theresa and Whitney on the phone? One minute
Theresa is telling Whitney that she always thought there "was something between
Fox and Whitney", then the next minute.. she is talking about how much she wants
to get back together with Fox. Whitney seems intrigued by Fox's possible
interest, then tells Theresa to come up to the Inn so that Fox and Theresa can
reconcile? BULL. Theresa rushed to Pilar's side when she heard she was back in
the hospital-- where is Miggy? Pilar tells Theresa to fight for Fox and Theresa
makes plans to head up to the Inn with Chad. I don't understand. Does Theresa
think that Fox is a potential mate for herself, or her best friend? UGH. They
are just gonna tear this friendship apart, and I am going to hate EVERY SECOND
of this.
So, Fox and Whitney are gonna share a bed? UGH. This is so ridiculous. If they
are going to do a Foxney summer, then just DO one already. I am so sick of the
fantasies. The whole week was NOTHING but fantasies. Nothing else. These two
lusting after each other in dreams. They are ridiculous, and in my opinion do
not even REMOTELY show that the two of them could ever share any LOVE. They do,
however, show that the two of them are lusting for each other. By all means,
just do it already. Whitney is making me more mad than I ever have been at her..
how can she lust after Fox and still maintain that she wants Chad? This is just
INSANE. Make up your minds and just do it. I believe that this is because TheRox
is the true couple here, and not Foxney, but unfortunately, the writers are
pushing Foxney.. and to me.. sorry-- it seems like it's gonna be a FOXNEY
summer. The two of them are bickering, this is supposedly to show some sort of
chemistry between them, but when the writers choose the "over the top, jump at
every little thing" fights.. they waste screen time. And just WHO exactly does
Miss Whitney think she is? Reading Fox's email? I think not. She is not his
girlfriend, I don't care how much they lust for each other-- until they show me
some SERIOUS emotion between these two characters, I am not buying. I am merely
watching under protest.
Best part of the week-- Whoo hoo! Antonio's dead. Now I never have to
hear "mah waaf" again!
Worst part of the week-- Antonio's dead. This was such a wasted
opportunity. Couldn't they have Antonio confess to someone-- Pilar, Sheridan,
Liz, heck--even a tree would have done.. confess WHY he left Harmony and what
Alistair's part was in it. The only reason that I can come up with why they
never explored Antonio's disappearance is because they wanted Antonio and Luis
fighting over Sheridan, and since the show wanted them to be at odds, I guess
they couldn't have the two of them bonding over their shared hatred of Antonio.
And now for my RANT OF THE WEEK-- What in the world was Whitney's
slave/master comment? This was absolutely disgusting. I know that there are
people who do not support the Foxney pairing because they don't like interracial
couples, and I don't judge them for that. I don't agree with that kind of
logic-- but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. BUT-- to have Whitney
utter such racist comments towards Fox, a person who has never shown any of the
racism that so plagues his grandfather, was ridiculous. What, is this some kind
of way for the writers to tackle the interracial question? If so-- it was a
cop-out. And it left the worst taste in my mouth and just made me feel
uncomfortable watching that scene. Boo to the writers for this one.
