Miscellaneous Soap News Tidbits

Dateline: 6/30/98

  • Time for Guiding Light to pull out the RAS (rapid aging syndrom) found only in soap land. Seems this week we'll see the Marler twins return as 3 year olds.
  • Schae Harrison is returning to Bold and the Beautiful July 14th. She'll be reprising the role of Darla.
  • Happy Brithday today to Kimberlin Brown (Sheila, Bold and the Beautiful!)
  • The fifth annual Buns, Bagels, & Breakfast will be held again at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Saturday August 8th, at 8:00am. If you're interested send check or money order ($60) made out to Cathy Thomas, c/o The Bold and the Beautiful, 7800 Beverly Blvd. Ste. 3371 Los Angeles, CA 90036. Expected to attend are: John McCook, Bobbie Eakes, Schae Harrison, and other Bold and the Beautiful cast members.
  • Laura Bryan Birn (Lynn, The Young and the Restless) and Mitch Sebolsky are engaged and plan to be married withing the year. Congratulations Laura and Mitch!
  • Sunset Beach will be pre-empted July 2nd and 3rd due to NBC's coverage of Wimbledon.
  • Starting July 24th Heather Tom (Victoria, Young and the Restless) will be appearing in The Glass Menaggerie at the Stella Adler Theater in Hollywoon. She's cast in the part of Laura. But don't delay, the show will only run for 4 weeks.
  • ABC is going to run another daytime special in primetime. Scheduled for Monday August 10th, the show will be ABC Soaps Most Unforgettable Love Stories.
  • As previously mentioned Barbara Crampton is returning to Young and the Restless as Leanna Love. So far she is only scheduled to appear in 5 shows. Just long enough to cause some trouble.
  • Guiding Light's new hunk Sean (William Bumiller) has a two year contract with the show. So we should be seeing him around Springfield for awhile.
