Young and the Restless Star Dies of Cancer

Just before Christmas soap fans lost another fine actor. This death came as a shock to all fans of Young and the Restless, especially because it happened to the young and beautiful Michelle Thomas. She had been off the air for just about a month dealing with a medical emergency. All signs were pointing to a return to the show when it was announced she had passed away from a rare form of stomach cancer. We're still awaiting more details at this time, but join me in saying goodbye to this wonderful actress.

***Comings, Goings and Special News***

As the World Turns
-Word on the net is that Kelley Menighan-Hensley has had her baby, a girl. The information we've been given is that the baby was born on December 23rd, weighing 7lbs. and has been named Sophie May. Congratulations to Kelly and Jon Hensley.

Another World
-Alice Barrett (ex-Frankie) will be returning to the show in February. No news yet on whether she'll be returning as Frankie or as a new character. Jonathan Sharp joins the cast early next year as Sergei Radzinsky. He'll be Felicia's new love interest.

Guiding Light
-The characters of Dinah and Hart will be recast after Wendy Moniz and Frank Grillo leave the roles.

Sunset Beach
-Christopher Halsted joins as Gerard, a resort owner. He'll air January 25th and 29th.
-Mel Johnson airs as Dr. Manning January 23rd and 25th.

Young and the Restless
-Young and the Restless fans say goodbye to Michelle Thomas (Callie). Michelle died December 22nd, at the age of 29, from cancer.
