Luis tells Mrs. Wallace his plans and Beth continues to rat him out to Alistair. Luis almost busts Alistair on the phone, but she explains away the silence on the phone as telemarketers who have not hung up yet. Beth tries to sabotage Luis and Hank, by spilling coffee on the blueprints for Crane Industries... but Hank cleans it up with the Bounty super-absorbent paper towels... and all is well. (DARN foiled again, Beth.) Alistair explains to his secretary that the pain inflicted on the L-F family is due to the Sins of the Father and burns pictures of Beth, Pilar, Luis, and a picture that we don’t see. Is this Paloma?? Meaning that Alistair has been keeping tabs on her as well?? Well just have to wait and see.
Hank and Luis search out the hidden spaces on the blueprints, and come across a safe hidden in a wall, (with some mighty big fancy silent explosives... but only find money) Later, Pilar meets Baldy McJanitor, and doesn’t recognize Luis, but is upset when she realizes that it is Luis... and that he is still planning to bring Alistair down. But Luis says he wont give up and heads to Crane Industries. Luis finally finds Alistair’s safe, but there is no key. So he comes up with a plan when he hears that Alistair will be heading to a casino on the edge of town. Baldy McJanitor fixes Sheridan’s heater and brings her to tears with talk of his lost love. (Just put these two back together, writers they seem far less pathetic together... than TALKING and TALKING about losing each other. BORING)
Luis, Beth and Hank end up at the casino, and see Sheridan and Antonio there, out for a night on the town. (Man this town is small, isn’t it??) Sheridan continues to be inundated by thoughts of Luis, but promises Antonio of her love, and they continue to dance. Luis pays off Lola, the waitress (another cheap take off of another song... Whatever Lola wants... Lola gets, no surprise for Passions) to snag Alistair’s keys from his pocket. She gets busted trying to pick his pocket but plays it off by hitting on Alistair and telling him she thought they could have a little fun together, later. Alistair takes the bait, and Lola later hands the coveted keys over to Luis.
Alistair tells Sheridan that they need to talk, but only in his office. The next scene, they are magically in his office at Crane Industries. (Must be a REALLY quick trip across town, since they very carefully showed that the Casino was on the outskirts of Harmony but Ill let that one slide.) Sheridan gets busted for her role in helping Fox with Theresa, but stands her ground. Alistair continues to berate Luis and tells Sheridan she better stay with Antonio... Sheridan expresses her beliefs that Luis will expose the Crane secrets, as he always wanted to. But Alistair says there are no secrets (man if that’s true he's wasting a lot of money on all those super-duper safes, isn’t he??)
Now for the rest proving that Passions should be renamed the Theresa/Fox/Gwen/Ethan/Rebecca Saga.
Theresa meets with Woody, who explains that after slapping Ethan on national television that no judge would ever give her custody and that he doesn’t think there is a good chance that she’ll ever get out of jail... A guard later tells Theresa stories of a woman she knew who got 40 years for trying to kidnap her own son. Theresa feels there is no hope. Ethan tells a sleeping Little Ethan of his struggles between Gwen and Theresa. Gwen and Rebecca continue to cackle over their plans to ruin Theresa. Yet they mention their possible downfall the tabloid scheme. (Man they are mentioning this a lot I hope this is truthful foreshadowing) Again with the barren comments by Rebecca. So nice of Rebecca to continually remind her daughter that there is no hope of her having children. Gwen worries Ethan will never be over Theresa (what a happy marriage)... and later Rebecca tells Gwen to basically accept Ethan’s continued defense of Theresa... and Gwen says shell keep up the lie so that Theresa can be destroyed. Gwen promises to stop losing her temper with Ethan... and that lasts all of 5 seconds, until Ethan defends Theresa again... and Gwen loses it. She talks about some heartache that Rebecca caused Theresa and her family and Ethan scoffs at the minimal description. And they go at it again... Gwen pulls it together and tells Ethan about Heather, and Rebecca tries to tell him of the other horrible surrogates. But Ethan continues his ignoring of Rebecca and wont listen to her.
