Kay working at the cannery has finally resulted in her first assault on this show. Unfortunately, it came at the hands of Fluffy and not someone who she deserved to get attacked by (like Charity) but it was still pretty funny. Kay is exhausted, but so is Miguel, since Maria did not sleep all night, and Miguel leaves so that he can get some work done. Kay is upset, but understands, and says she knows that Miguel wont go to Charity that he just needs to do well in college. But computer trouble abounds and Miguel and Charity end up at the book café which Kay is a witness to... it was nice to see Simone and Tabby try to keep the hurt from Kay-- but it didn't work), where he uses Charitys computer to finish a paper, and asks her to stay in case he needs her help. Charity and Miguel promise to always be there for each other. (These two are slowly crawling back towards each other... and with Jesses exit already pending and Mollys exit just announced it really seems like these two are gonna end up riding into the sunset together after all.)
Chad and Whitney head to Sally Chinns restaurant and their noodle breaks, TWICE. Sally confirms this will not only mean their relationship is doomed, but that their love will cause a huge tragedy. BLAH BLAH BLECH. Very quick explanation, huh.... and very timely with the open hints that Chadney are brother and sister. YUCK!! Hate that Whitney cannot stop talking about Eve. This character has become so one-dimensional. Whitney was showing some huge growth in the LA scenes, but unfortunately she is right back to boring. Whitney thinks she sees Eve as she and Chad are leaving the restaurant.... and just continues to beat a dead horse, all the way back to the Russell house. Eve and Julian WERE at Sally Chinn's restaurant... on a tip from someone Julian hired, thinking that their son would be there... but they only see an Asian waiter, who they know cannot be their son, although they check anyway (yup black + white = predominately Asian... cmon). Eve and Julian never see Chadney at the restaurant and Eve is furious when Alistair calls Julian to tell him that he set the whole thing up they will never know who their son is. OKAY the writers are hinting day and night that Chad is their son... yet Alistair supposedly knows everything that goes on but tells Julian that he knew their son wouldnt be there this lends more and more credence to my earlier theory that Chad is not their son... and just a gross out attempt by the writers... STUPID of them if you ask me... but lets go on) Eve, furious by Alistairs actions... is driving like a maniac and when Julian asks her to pull over and calm down and let him drive, she veers off the road and crashes the car. Both are knocked unconscious and when SKYCOM (On Star, anyone?) cannot get a response, they call for emergency services and call TC at home. Whitney, Chad and TC head to the scene of the accident with TC thanking Chad for driving. (What happened to TC's hatred of Chad?? yet another inconsistently) Eve comes to, and calls TC and tells him the accident was no big deal, and to not worry she'll be home soon. TC heads there anyway, while Eve and Julian take cover in a barn from the rain. These were cute scenes but ruined by Whitneys continual chatter about how bad her mom is. Give it up Whitney.... blow her out of the water, or SHUT UP, please. TC and company arrive to see the car, Chad and Whitney go searching for Eve.... only to find Eve and Julian making out in the barn. After the nosebleed at the jail with Theresa, Pilar continues to struggle with her illness in private, and begins treatment in Eves office, so she can keep her secret. Eve checks the progression of Pilar's illness, and suggests that Paloma come home even sooner than planned but doesnt tell Pilar her illness is progressing. Pilar later laments that she knows Eve is lying, and later plans to write a letter to everyone, in case things take a turn for the worse, so that she can explain why she kept things a secret. Pilars nose begins bleeding again at Hanks apartment. (Nice to know that Hank was able to get a place as soon as the L-Fs became homeless, god knows we never laid eyes on his place 'til now.)
