Censor's Passions Commentary - March 20, 2004

From Censor, for About.com

Well.. in a week where I, Censor, find myself unemployed (no worries guys—this is a blessing in disguise) and where I also find myself banned from another forum for speaking up against someone who said that Little Ethan should DIE because they want a mini-Fox.. I find myself in shock and awe. Especially over what is happening in our fair town of Harmony.. This column is gonna be long.. many doings in Harmony this week.. so sit back, grab your favorite beverage and HOLD ON.. because Censor feels a RANT coming on.

Jessica and Charity face off once again over Reese. Jess doesn’t want Charity and Reese making out in the house. Charity says she’ll do what she wants, and when Ivy tries to “lay down the law”.. (man—Ivy sure is taking on a “lot” to get the man she wants) Charity mentions she is getting a “vision”. Ivy backs off. Ivy calls Sam for help. But the fight ensues—and it brings David, Grace, Miguel, Kay and Maria running to the Bennett house. Grace tries to make peace by telling Jess she must be mistaken about Charity’s intentions—but Charity leaves no doubt about what she wants. Grace announces that she is leaving for Italy—and tries to get a meaningful goodbye.. rebuffed by Jessica, Kay AND Charity—she leaves in tears after Kay says that she won’t let Grace hold Maria. Sam tells Grace there is no need for her to be here.. and Grace leaves. (GOOD riddance—Grace is such a pale whisper of herself.. let’s just hope that her memory comes back to her on her trek to Italy, shall we??)

Sheridan once again chooses Antonio after talking about how she realizes who she truly loves. We see a flashback to Alistair and Dr. Ackland, drugging her shortly after she left the club—which would explain why she collapsed in the gazebo. Luis is heartbroken, but for once—doesn’t fight.. (poor Luis) and Antonio interjects that Luis needs to realize that he lost.. BLAH BLAH BLECH. Shut up, Antonio—I have a rant for this LOSER later..

Sheridan and Antonio make love, (no hope for an annulment now, folks—the marriage has officially been CONSUMMATED—how bad is Antonio?? It only took him 15 months after his wedding to FINALLY sleep with his own “waaf”) But when Sheridan awakens.. she only sees Luis. Overcome by the guilt of her decision—Sheridan tells Antonio she wants to get Beth and Luis back together, they share a child and they could be happy. (WHATEVER) She also tells Antonio that he has to reconcile with his family—especially if he really loves her. Antonio says he will try. Sheridan shows up at Beth’s house, after Mrs. Wallace produced a parchment LIST of how much of a failure Beth is (this was, hands down the FUNNIEST part of the week and why I love Mrs. Wallace, at least in small doses) and talks about how Beth has been so supportive, etc. (yup Sheridan—so “supportive” that she took that pesky baby off your hands so you could go and agonize over Luis and Antonio—with friends like these.. who needs enemies). Beth does her best to keep Sheridan and the baby apart.. and offers to take Sheridan out for coffee so Martin’s schedule is not disturbed.

At the Book Café—Sheridan offers to watch Martin, but Beth refuses.. says that she wants them to bond as a family. Sheridan overhears Beth and Mrs. Wallace talking on the phone about “stealing Sheridan’s baby”.. Beth once again, plays it off and talks about Sheridan’s delusions that Beth stole her baby.. Beth says she was just using a “figure of speech.” Sheridan buys it (man—these people are STUPID) Later, Mrs. Wallace brings the baby to the coffee house and Sheridan cannot deny the connection—so Beth takes the baby outside where Pilar sees them and confronts Beth saying, “There’s another reason you don’t want Sheridan to see the baby, isn’t there, Beth?” (I knew there was a reason I ALWAYS loved Pilar.. c’mon Pilar.. put it all together!!)
