Although she hasn't had a lot of airtime since her explosive debut as Genevieve, Genie Francis isn't going anywhere. According to 'Y&R,' Genie is off for the next three weeks shooting her third Hallmark Channel movie sequel to The Note. She'll return after Labor Day.
- Soap newcomer Peter Porte is joining the cast as Ricky Williams, the son of Paul and Isabella (formerly played by Eva Longoria). Peter is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School and has a long list of theatre credits, including the Broadway National Tour of Mamma Mia. He first airs September 13. No word on whether or not Ricky is as crazy as his mamma. Longtime fans will remember that Isabella went to jail for trying to kill Paul's true love, Christine (played by Lauralee Bell).
- Michael Graziadei (Daniel) has been cast in an episode of the new FX series, American Horror Story, starring Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, Jessica Lange and Frances Conroy.
- Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) will guest-star on the new CW series, Ringer, starring Sarah Michelle Geller (ex-Kendall, AMC)
- Christian LeBlanc (Michael) is producing an independent film, Grave Secrets: Deadtime Stories starring Diane Ladd.
