Big 'Guiding Light' Casting Changes Ahead!

On Guiding Light, after much ado, Josh and Reva's son, Shayne, is finally finding his way back to Springfield. So, who's the lucky actor who laid claim to this character last seen in 2004? None other than the handsome Jeff Branson (ex-Jonathan, AMC).

Shayne, scheduled to return on December 1, had recently gone missing in Afghanistan. So after all that drama, what will he think of his mother having a baby with Jeffrey? And will he try to play matchmaker with his parents now that Josh and Cassie are kaput? Stay tuned...this promises to be one return that will shake up many, many lives!

In other news...

If Shayne does decide to play Cupid with Josh and Reva, he will get no resistance from Cassie, since her portrayer, Nicole Forester, is on her way out.

The actress, who's been with the show since 2005, opted not to stick around after her contract expired and will instead focus on her personal life. And she has much to look forward to in that regard with a wedding in October and new bundle of joy expected in February. Though Cassie will be missed, we offer a big congratulations to Ms. Forester and send her our best wishes for a bright future.
