-Brandon Beemer (ex-Shawn, DAYS) will be joining the cast this summer in a currently un-named role.
Guiding Light
-Soap Opera Weekly is reporting that Beth Ehlers (Harley) is leaving Guiding Light and moving to All My Children. No word yet on a final air date, or if the role will be recast.
Passions
--Marianne Muelleriele returns for the series finale as Norma.
The Young and the Restless
-Tammin Sursok (Colleen) will be off the canvas for several weeks as she films a movie for Nickelodeon. No word yet on when she'll return to Genoa City.

regarding “Guiding Light” - What in the world has happened to my soap?! I don’t like it at all! And I am sick and tired of everything always being about Reva, and here we go again-her life history! She has burned too many bridges and needs to be replaced. She looks like she needs to go on to greener pastures.
I agree about Reva. Not sure why everyone thinks she’s the show. As far as Harley goes……….her leaving is no big deal. They’ve destroyed her character as well. The entire show has hit bottom. The writers are the ones who need to go and bring in someone who can write interesting stories and stupid ones.
After literally watching GUIDING LIGHT for more than 50 years, I have turned out the light. The show can go in a new direction without this longtime and very loyal viewer. The location shoots, bizarre camera angles with the jittercam, and poor sound quality are not entertaining. The show looks like it’s being produced by film school dropouts on a very small budget. I always enjoyed the soaps because they were a fun place to escape reality. I don’t find looking at a close-up of an actor’s gigantic pores through the lens of a shakey camera to be entertaining. Thank the Lord the The Bold & The Beautiful and The Young and the Restless have not adulterated their shows with the MTV-style reality bites.
There are still a couple of places left on CBS where one can tune in and escape reality for a couple of hours!
I love the new look.Its real as far as the viewer that doesnt like and likes the way YR& B&B.We all do not wear designer undies and jamies and drink
tinis at 9am.I grew up with GL and at
least they are REAL.The other shows how people in glass houses live.Guiding Light has people with money at real life
day to day living.And Reva and Joshua ROCK.They are my inspiration,got to get rid of cassey,let her and cyrus ride into the sunset.
